THE KNIGHT LIFE By Keith Knight
My children and I are reading this comic book now. It’s brilliant and humorous. It’s not uncommon for my husband to walk in on us, all huddled together and guffawing our heads off. Keith Knight is awesome!

I just got this book, and I have less than a week to finish reading it for a book tour. The book looks great on the cover, so that’s a plus. I am a cover-gazer as I read. So fugly book covers is hard for me. Sometimes, and I am ashamed to admit this, I would cover the book with blank paper if I cannot stand it. Some book cover just don’t do anything for me.
Description
In the tradition of bestselling authors Ian McEwan and Anne Enright, Samantha Bruce-Benjamin’s brilliant and timeless debut unveils the dark side of human nature as four women share the poignant tale of love, obsession, and ultimate betrayal that binds them forever.
Have we all not wished to keep forever the one person we love the most?
The secluded beaches of a sun-drenched Mediterranean island are the perfect playground for young Sebastian and Adora. Emotionally adrift from their mother, Adora shelters her sensitive older brother from the cruelties of the world. Sophie does not question her children’s intense need for one another until it’s too late. Her beloved son’s affections belong to Adora, and when he drowns in the sea, she has no one else to blame.
Still heartbroken years later, Adora fills her emptiness with Genevieve, the precocious young daughter of her husband’s business associate and his jealous wife, Miranda. Thrilled to be invited into the beautiful and enigmatic Adora’s world, the child idolizes her during their summers together. Yet, as the years progress, Genevieve begins to suspect their charmed existence is nothing more than a carefully crafted illusion. Soon, she too is ensnared in a web of lies.
Stunningly told in the tragic voices of four women whose lives are fatefully entangled, The Art of Devotion is evocative and haunting, a story of deceit, jealousy, and the heartbreaking reality of love’s true power.
We all know how that goes. Really. So, I received this book for review from a publisher. When I behold the sight of an 8×11 sized binding, I thought that I’d never be able to read it. It’s too big! I want my book smaller…preferably a paperback if it’s going to be romance. I’m addicted to reading romance fiction and proud of it! I read tons of this book in a year. I’d say over a hundred each year since I was 9. More when I was younger and carefree. However, there are times when I don’t feel like reading anything. Whatever I picked up, it’s blah. So, I’m extra grateful for this book.

When I started reading this book, it just made me realized why I love reading in the first place. I’ve been reading more and spending less time farming in facebook. So, a huge thanks to Jodi Thomas and her powerful story-telling! This book will go on sale on June 1. Watch out or contact me if you’d like to win a copy before then. My review should be up in a few days over here.
One of my favorite books of all time is Paullina Simons’ The Bronze Horseman. It’s got all the elements an extraordinary book should have, and then some. It’s set in Russia during World War 2, it’s got epic love story, and sweeping saga. She released her newest one called A SONG IN DAYLIGHT. A character in this book is named after my friend Che. Unfortunately for me, I cannot buy it in the US. I can buy almost any books online: textbooks, fiction, religious, and electronic books. But I cannot buy this book. Thank goodness for family. My cousin, who lives in Australia, bought the book for me. I received the book today. I was so happy to get it, I believe I might have dance a jig. I might have also screeched in my excitement because my husband made the gesture to cover both his ears. I’m on page 23 out of 767. I know this is going to be a great book.
