Podiatrist, Here We Come

My daughter’s been complaining about pain in her ankles and knees. In fact, she’s complained about it on and off since she was 7. For four years, we go to the same wonderful pediatrician. He says the same thing every single time. She’s got growing pains. But it’s been 4 years. She’s missed a dozen martial arts classes because of this. She’d even dropped out of running team because of her ankle. Tennis is out too, for the same reason. I finally made an appointment with a podiatrist near my home. The can see her tomorrow afternoon. I hope it’s nothing serious, and that a pair of foot inserts can fix her pain.

Up Fisherman’s Wharf

This was from last year on our trip to San Francisco. I need to take a different child on a trip, but I can’t decide where to go. I’m thinking Washington, DC. Or maybe I’ll just take my husband on a Sunday to Tuesday trip and go somewhere romantic and fun. I have no idea where that is.

Visiting Out of Town

Last Monday, we drove about 3 hours round trip to visit one of my favorite cousin. My other favorite aunt was there too. It was fun. I was just a little annoyed that I forgot to bring my iPod. Every body tend to fall asleep while I’m driving. I would listen to my favorite books when I’m driving. I could have been third of the way through a new Lee Child, or Michael Connelly or even the upcoming book-to-movie young adult fiction THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan. My 10 years old finished the five-book series, and was really thrilled about it. I put it on audio so I can listen to it when I walk Charlie.

At first, my children did not want to travel 3 hours round trip and being away from their xBoxes, computer and more computer. When we got there, they didn’t want to leave either. Every thing about the country fascinates them. They were chasing cats and kittens and walking through vegetable and flower gardens. My cousin have cows, so that was really fun for them.
