Lost My Batteries

I lost the batteries to my Sony camera. Right now, I’m using my husband’s Fuji. I think I am falling in love with it. He’s going to have to buy his own because I don’t think I’ll be letting this one go.

Today, all 4 kids were testing for higher level in their martial arts class. It was fun to see the sparring part of the test. My husband and I are worried about our 3rd child because he’s 100 pounds at almost 8 years of age. His height and frame indicates that he’s about 20 pounds overweight. It works to his disadvantage when he’s on the ground because he can’t get much hip action to toss his opponent away. But, when it’s take-down time, his weight made his quiet steady on his feet. It didn’t help that his older brother (he’s 11) at only 70+ pounds is very much at a disadvantage. There was a lot of frustrations on my eldest son’s part on that part of the exercise.

I haven’t downloaded the pictures, so it will come out later.

Sometimes, a pair is better than one.

Pride and Prejudice Again

I did it. I paid 9.99 to Amazon instant play because I wanted to watch Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. The DVD I got from the library was too scratched. I am certifiable. On top of that, I’m also reading a few version of P&P in print. Duh! So, I wasn’t able to do a lot of things, like shop for school supplies.

Last Monday, we went to see G-Force with a friend. Here’s some shots, and they’re all candid. Mostly candid anyway.

My Nose is Running

Thank goodness my feet is not smelling! Okay, I just love English words and their weird thing like running nose and smelling feet.

Anyway, I’ve been sneezing so hard, I expect to see particles of blood with each sneeze. I hope I’m not coming down with something because I got trips to go to and things to do. Like, in a few minutes, I’m going to the City Hall downtown. I sent a payment for a parking ticket, but they’re not smart enough to credit it properly. So, I have to do their job for them. So annoying because it’s so hot, I’d rather be inside and reading book.

Anyways, I wanted to tell you a little story. When we were in St. Louis, MO, I told my kids to get ready so we can go swimming and then hit that Six Flags there. Why not, we have season pass, and we might as well. It took them forever to get ready because they’d rather do this:

To get him in this swimsuit took about an hour. I should just have carried him to the car, naked!

So, when we arrive at Six Flags, the water park was closing.

My kids we’re all sad, and a whole lot of cranky. So, they were all mourning about the lost of the water park fun:

Just look at that face, the whole body expression of ‘sad’.

He’s really vocal about his disappointment.

And this guy was just plain too sad to even stand.

And my favorite? He’s too sad to even give me a smile for my picture!

I should all send them to acting school and get it over with. They sure can bring it on. I love these guys! The older two we’re more adaptable to change in plans.

My Baby’s Running a Fever

I’m not big on editing my picture for anything. This was taken with my cell phone camera inside a cave in Missouri.

I noticed that my perpetually naked child is running a fever. He’s hot all over. I wouldn’t have known he’s feeling anything since he’s still very active. But little hints show up. Like the fact that he sat still in the movies yesterday when we went to see G-Force. He would usually get up and walk around after an hour. Not disrupting the show or anything. He’d just get up and walk the stairs. Yesterday, he sat on my lap and did nothing. When we got home, he just sat on my lap and insist on being hug. He was there for almost two hours.

While it was great because I was able to read more about Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth; it also wasn’t normal for this baby. I’m going to see to day if his fever will spike. Right now, it’s looking out to be a viral infection. Nothing to done about it. He’s also not in pain anywhere.

I won’t be doing much of anything but hold and cuddle this baby all day.
