Relief

Finishing my taxes on time have the same feeling of relief not unlike between contraction while giving birth. It’s the same relief when you have a bad . Right about the time when the biggest one comes out, that particular relief.

I had to include the constipation analogy because not all of my readers have gone through the labor to give them. They don’t call it labor for nothing. Having your taxes signed, sealed and mail is like getting a few beats of pain-free between contraction. Really. (I just had to say that, I don’t know what it accomplish, really)
I mean, how would you describe it?

It’s That Time of the Year, Again

Whew, taxes are due in 5 days. I’m just getting started. I got hit with the worst case of procrastination this time around. I had to re-arrange my room before I could get started. When that’s done, I decided my floors had to be scrubbed first. Then there’s the kitchen, the laudry and the bathrooms. I decided I should have an empty laundry bin before tacking the taxes. My washers and dryers are busy all day.

I was going to sort my closet and drawers, then draft my backyard landscape again, then call the supplies in when I caught myself. Whew! So I put on my big girl’s pants (in more ways than one, considering I am now the proud owner of a 152 pounds butt, where there used to be 85 pound butt during the first 25 years of my life).

I am sitting here, chugging and plugging along. Big problem though. I am now very, very sleepy. I’m thinking, I could use a good long nap before doing my taxes, but then again, gotta be a grown up and get on with the taxes already.

I think I should check for accounting classes in my local community college. Nothing like the present to check it all out.
